The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, through ADIF, has awarded an investment of 41 million euros, VAT included, aimed at modernizing the railway traffic management systems on the Madrid–Zaragoza–Barcelona line, acting mainly on the section Embid de la Ribera – Épila and at various stations along the corridor.
In this strategic project, SISTEM, a company of the CPS Group, participates in Joint venture with Siemens Mobility, assuming a key role in the technological renewal of one of the country's most important railway lines.
Scope of work to be developed by SISTEM
SISTEM is now undergoing a comprehensive intervention that covers all key areas of the project. In the area of railway signallingOur team works on the installation and assembly of signaling systems, including interlockings, and field elements (signals, safe train detection systems and drives, mainly).
In a coordinated manner, we developed the cabling infrastructure necessary for the project. This includes both the laying of cables associated with signaling and power, as well as the design, supply and installation of the fixed telecommunications system, which also incorporates the supply and laying of communications cables.
The performance also requires the execution of the civil works necessary (trenches, conduits and channels) to allow the laying of cables throughout the area, ensuring the correct integration of the new installations on the ground.
In parallel, we worked on the Installation and adaptation of energy systems that will support the incorporated technological solutions, guaranteeing their reliability from day one.
We also implemented the video surveillance and access control systems in the technical buildings of the section, reinforcing the operational safety of the new infrastructures.
Commitment to railway modernization
With this action, SISTEM reaffirms its leadership and experience in installations of signaling, telecommunications, energy and railway safety systems, contributing to improving the reliability, availability and efficiency of railway operations on one of the most important lines of the Spanish conventional network.
Participation in this project reinforces the CPS Group's commitment to promoting critical, sustainable and technologically advanced infrastructure.
