From the CPS Group, we believe that Institutions, universities and companies must unite and share a transforming vision of society and the economy in which Sustainability is one of the main axes.
Málaga. One more year, the CPS Group has been a Bronze sponsor to support the "European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation - Transfer 2022", held on February 16 and 17, 2022 in Malaga.
Since its inception, the CPS Group has believed in Innovation as the main way to differentiate itself and be able to grow in an increasingly competitive market.
Therefore, in addition to participating as an exhibitor, it has sponsored the discussion table "New Paradigm: COLLABORATION; Company4.0-University4.0-Association4.0-Administration 4.0″ with some exceptional participants, whose moderator was Francisco Baeza Director of Business Development at SISTEM company belonging to CPS Group and participating as speakers at the table “Public and private financing for the promotion of business R&D” hand in hand with Araceli Vilchez Galan Coordinator of R&D&i of the CPS Group.
The table sponsored by the CPS Group, was made up of representatives of three leading Spanish universities in the field of research collaboration, Juan Manuel Corchado Director of BISITE University of Salamanca, Jorge Alfonso Kurano Researcher and project manager of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Javier López Vice-rector for Business, Territory and Digital Transformation of the University of Malaga; a representative of the administration Ivan Aitor Lucas General Director of Innovation, Research and Digital Transformation of the Government of the Principality of Asturias and moderated by Francisco Baeza Director of Business Development representing SISTEM, a company used to carrying out projects in conjunction with both types of institutions .
During the interventions, the participants highlighted multiple important aspects to take into account and improve to make possible the new paradigm of collaboration between Company 4.0 - University 4.0 - Association 4.0 and Administration 4.0.
Juan Manuel Corchad highlighted that “In the last 50 years, the ways in which universities are financed have changed, but at the moment we are far behind our counterparts in other countries. We have the talent and level to give the company the opportunity for researchers to be independent and focus on society. Our treasure is human capacity”.
Xavier Lopez "Until we adapt the speeds and understand each of the parties, it will always be difficult to collaborate.” In addition, he highlighted the pProblems to identify within the Universities which group and what work/research they have previously carried out, "This gloom is a brake on collaboration between all agents."
Jorge Alfonso Kurano, "the university is full of cracks that can respond immediately to the needs, but you have to find it, identify it and promote it. We do not usually respond quickly to specific needs of end users, because the language we speak is not the same. There is a big gap that we must close between society and university"
Ivan Aitor LucasWe don't just have to talk about company/university/administration collaboration, it would add to the 5.0 society. If we are not able to sell society the need and advantage of these collaborations, it is as if they did not exist. We have to build step by step and not get on to surf the wave, these have an end and we will fall off the board.
There is a lot of desire to innovate in this country, but we have to answer that we want to be when we grow up. If we all manage to go in the same direction, even at different speeds, we will achieve great things.”
As our colleague Francisco Baeza indicated at the closing of the table “We see from this debate that it is necessary, a gearbox is needed to synchronize the different company/university/administration work speeds, a catalog of projects/capabilities is needed to make everyone's efforts efficient, the companies are responsible for monetizing these efforts and reverse it in investment for universities. The system has to be sustainable, we are in a unique moment and we have to squeeze it together and that requires a lot of collaboration, this is the moment."
