In this act, the presidents of the CPS Group and Thales Spain intervened, Cándido CominoJesús Sánchez, and the architect of the building Bitácora, Julio Touza, from the studio Touza Arquitectos.

This unique construction adds architectural value and new jobs in Leganés. The building is a point of reference for bioclimatic architecture and an example in the Community of Madrid of accessibility, sustainability and eco-efficiency. The building has 15.958,92 square meters of constructed area and receives geothermal, photovoltaic and photothermal energy.

In the presentation, the mayor, Santiago Llorente, stressed that the partnership and collaboration of business, university and City Council allows the creation of employment in Leganés. “It is easier for someone to stay in Leganés if they have a job nearby. This is why it is so important that companies of this type are based in Leganés. For our city, it is a magnificent opportunity to bring together the technology company and the University in the same space, and we are committed to building the future Campus of the Carlos III University of Madrid in this same space”.

For the mayor, this confluence will make it possible for talent to stay in the city, “We don't want the people who live in Leganés to have to move every day to cities where most of the technology companies are located, such as Tres Cantos or Alcobendas. We bet that these people can stay in their city, the place where they have studied engineering and where they can develop their vital project”, stressed Llorente.
