Adif awards SITEM the telecommunications project for the AVE Madrid-Seville

With this project SISTEM will face one of the greatest challenges of its last years

The Adif Board of Directors has authorized the award of the contract for theExecution of the telecommunications and energy infrastructure project for the Madrid-Seville AVE line for an amount of 68.371.443,95 euros (VAT included) and an execution period of 48 months.

The UTE, made up of Sistem and Sistem Security Check, will be in charge of renovating the facilities in order to maintain the rail service, improving availability; the increase in the capacity of the line and regularity in the circulations of the trains; the improvement of the reliability of the facilities; and the rationalization and optimization of railway operations according to the needs of the different operators.

The project includes the tasks of laying new fiber optic cable along the route, as well as improvements in the power supply to the signaling and communications equipment. In addition, there will be the replacement of power panels, transformers, uninterruptible power supplies and batteries, among other facilities.

The Madrid-Seville high-speed line, which has been in operation for nearly 30 years, was the first to enter service in Spain, in April 1992. This project will ensure that the line continues to offer high standards of reliability and reliability in the future. comfort it has offered so far.

En este sentido, Ertms Level 2 is planned to be deployed in two phases: the first between Madrid and Córdoba, and the second, between Córdoba and Seville.

It is important to note that these works contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), which has among its goals the development of reliable, sustainable, resilient and quality infrastructures.
